I'm Bella Wilson and I'm a bit boyish. You see because of my fastness I've got a big addiction to football and tackle rugby. Which is great. The trouble is my friends never want to play the same game that I want to play. I enjoy annoying my sister Kylie. And I have a whole shelf full of pranks. I like mud outdoors and climbing trees, but I really really don't like brushing my crazily messy hair. Other things I don't like are Barbies, pink (ugh!), dresses and skirts. But I LOVE CAKE!!!!! Sometimes I wish my sister stopped wearing dresses. My future lies in taming toads or being a pro football player or playing rugby for a living. Sometimes I feel a bit like a boy but only sometimes. If I could have one wish it would be for all my friends to like the same stuff as me, or maybe to have a different sister instead of Kylie it depends..

Land creating

As part of our land study we have been designing and making our own land, with different landforms.  We used cardboard, chicken wire, paper mache, paint and some natural materials.  We are aiming to finish them off this week.  Here are some pictures of the process.

This morning we filled up a plastic bag with water.  We stuck spiky sticks and pencils all the way through, and we managed put 13 through without any holes and water coming out!!
We think it works because the pencil blocks the water coming out, and the air in the bag helps hold it in somehow.
You should try it at home!!

My opinion on the flag

I think that there are a lot more things that you can spend all that money on. And people have died under that flag, we've had it for a long time so why change it now? I that it may look the same as Australia's flag but people went to war for that flag. And as I said it  is going to be 26, 0000 dollars , so again why change it now?

Today we have been reading a poem by Shel Silverstein called ' The ice cream stop'

The Ice Cream Stop By Shel Silverstein 

The circus train made an ice cream stop
At the fifty-two flavor ice cream stand.
The animals all got off the train
And walked right up to the ice cream man.
“I’ll take Vanilla,” yelled the gorilla.
“I’ll take Chocolate,” shouted the ocelot.
“I’ll take Strawberry,” chirped the canary.
“Rocky Road,” croaked the toad
“Lemon and Lime,” growled the lion.
Said the ice cream man, “Til I see a dime,
You’ll get no ice cream of mine.”
Then the animals snarled and screeched and growled
And whinnied and whimpered and hooted and howled
And gobbled up the whole ice cream stand,

Mia's kaitiakitanga project

This is my hand bag I made. I made it  out of recycled plastic bags. For the ruffles I cut up little bits of plastic bags and stapled them on. It was going to be a dress but I only had a week to do it so I turned it into a hand bag!!!

I made it out of a old water bottle and a pin you can carry water without it leaking!

I started with the bottle then Cut it then I found a drawing pin and I stuck it in.

Bobby's Kaitiaki project

For my Kaitiaki project I knew there was too much trash in the sea.
  So I made a robot out of rubbish.
 I found a strawberry container and 2 drink bottle lids- I made a face first.  I used a hot glue gun to glue the head onto the body.  The body was made out of plastic packaging, and the arms were straws.  I didn't get as far as the legs.  I painted it blue to make it look cool.  I took it home.  It has a secret door in the head.

New bin at Mapua school

Dont climb on the binJay,Luca and Jake put one bin at Mapua School at the backfield  on a stump so do the right thing put your rubbish in the bins don't litter.
