Ice cream writing

Today we have been reading a poem by Shel Silverstein called ' The ice cream stop'

The Ice Cream Stop By Shel Silverstein 

The circus train made an ice cream stop
At the fifty-two flavor ice cream stand.
The animals all got off the train
And walked right up to the ice cream man.
“I’ll take Vanilla,” yelled the gorilla.
“I’ll take Chocolate,” shouted the ocelot.
“I’ll take Strawberry,” chirped the canary.
“Rocky Road,” croaked the toad
“Lemon and Lime,” growled the lion.
Said the ice cream man, “Til I see a dime,
You’ll get no ice cream of mine.”
Then the animals snarled and screeched and growled
And whinnied and whimpered and hooted and howled
And gobbled up the whole ice cream stand,
All fifty-two flavors
(fifty-three with the ice cream man).

We are looking at some of the rhyming parts, and having a go creating some ourselves.  Here are some of our ideas:

"Hokey Pokey" yelled the folky

"Mango sorbet" shouted Mia Fay

"Rocky road" yelled the Toad on the road

"Coconut cream" screamed Mr Supreme

Henry's poop-a-scopa

This is my poop-pa-scopa out of a plastic bag and a plastic bottle .  I made one because there is too much poo lying around in public, it will help because I'm going to pick up the poo without getting dirty.

Mia's kaitiakitanga project

This is my hand bag I made. I made it  out of recycled plastic bags. For the ruffles I cut up little bits of plastic bags and stapled them on. It was going to be a dress but I only had a week to do it so I turned it into a hand bag!!!

My Santa Claus costume

Hi this is my santa claus costume I made it out of paint,plastic bags,scrunched up paper and staples.

I had the idea of making clothes and thought of this idea it was meant to be a singlet but it was too poofy so I turned it into a santa claus costume I hope you like my idea.
